Our story
Alcatraz Chemicals was founded in 1985 in Vadodara, India with the goal of manufacturing specialty chemicals, particularly electroplating intermediates. This year, we celebrate 38 years of service to the metal finishing, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries. We are ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 certified company and follow strict quality management systems with a focus on protecting the environment.
After three decades of success in the specialty chemicals and electroplating intermediates industries, we have expanded into the production of high-tech pharmaceutical intermediates. Some of the chemicals we initially developed for electroplating have already been modified for use in the pharmaceutical industry and have passed the quality standards of international pharmaceutical companies.

Our research labs enable us to conduct advanced testing of our products, and our machinery and equipment are regularly monitored to ensure high-quality output.
Our Quality Control Laboratory is equipped with a range of advanced instruments and techniques, including Ion Chromatogram , HPLC and Gas Chromatogram.
These tools enable us to conduct thorough analysis and testing of our products, ensuring their quality and consistency.
Our manufacturing facility includes a wide range of equipment, such as Glass Lined Reactors, Industrial Reactors, Agitated Nutch Filters (ANF), Centrifuges, Rotary Vacuum Dryers (RVD), Tray Dryers, High Vacuum Distillation System, and more.

Led by three PhDs in organic chemistry, our team of nine experienced lab chemists works in a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with the latest equipment for synthesis and quality control.
